Used in numerous Aerospace & Industrial
applications. They are assemblies comprised of primary sealing elements
(seal nose & mating ring), secondary sealing element, loading device,
and various hardware, which prevent leakage of a media (liquid or gas) along
rotating shafts.
 Description: One
of the most versatile seals on the market. The design is simple, compact,
economical and can meet a wide range of operating conditions.
Applications:
Virtually unlimited. Typical application include pumps and turbines which
handle gases, oils, water, steam, chemicals, refrigerants, fuels, air,
steam, etc.
 Description: A
Type 1 seal with a TFE spring energized secondary seal replacing the o-ring.
For sealing gases and chemically reactive fluids where the operating
parameters exceed that for an electrometric secondary seal.
Applications:
Typical uses are for gas turbines in airplanes, helicopters, missiles, space
vehicles, and ground support. There are also a multitude of industrial uses
as well.
