Additional Seal Information / Capabilities:
- The Type 6 is a multiple ring segmented
seal, while the Type 11 is a single ring segmented seal. The diagram
above is of a Type 11.
- This seal design requires a minimal amount
of axial and radial space while accommodating large amounts of axial
movement from the runner.
- The Type 6 & 11 are recommended where
minimum leakage rates are desirable and contact with the shaft is
acceptable.
