Tuflite Sleeves are available in the following configurations:
Shaped Bores
- Torque transmission or resistance to rotation on
combination with liner motion
Annulars -
Static and dynamic misaligning capabilities
O.D. Lined Sleeves - used is piston bearings in cylinders
Tuflite
bearings are used for non-metallic bearing applications requiring:
Self Lubrication
Woven Teflon* fiber and polyester fiber fabric is supported by
a continuous fiberglass filament and epoxy resin matrix.
High Load Capacity
Normal dynamic application is from 4,000 psi to 20,000 psi;
ultimate strength of 77,000 psi.
Multiple Motion Capability
Motions that are oscillatory, linear or full rotation, as well
as combinations.
Light Weight
Tuflite weighs 77% less than steel, and 30% less than
aluminum.
Low Temperature Capability
From Cryogenic temperatures up to +325º F.
Industry Experience
Tuflite bearings have been supplied to the Aerospace industry
since 1969. Also, a line of Tuflite bearings has been qualified to
MIL-B-85560 since 1985.
Low Outgassing
Toxicity "K" rating and thermal vacuum stability
"A" rating as tested by NASA. The Maptis Material Code
